Linux has been favoured by most as a server operating system. In fact Linux rules a substantial slice of the server market. And in most cases, it is used to run a mail server. In an earlier post, I had dwelled upon Sendmail configuration as well as how to easily switch an MTA from sendmail to postfix and vice versa.
Now here is an interesting article titled "Creating a Linux Mail Server", which deals with configuring a complete mail server on Linux. The author scott has used Postfix as the MTA, Courier IMAP as the POP3/IMAP server, Spam-bayes an anti-spam filter, Fetchmail, SquirrelMail and Mutt. The article is well written with lots of sample code which aid the reader in configuring a complete mail server.
