My New Desktop Theme

This is my new desktop theme. If you look closely in the task bar (kicker panel), you will find a number of utilities which are running in the background. All of them I find very useful in my day to day use. The one with the comic character Tintin's head is a program called Tomboy. It helps me to jot down notes while doing my work or surfing the net. On the top right corner of the desktop, you will find a beautiful calander. This is a calander widget of the Super Karamba program which is also running in the task bar.

One interesting thing I noticed during all my years of computing is that I find working in Linux a more pleasant experience than working in windows Os. Incidently, I have installed both Linux and WindowsXP to dual boot on my machine. And I work in linux almost all the time - be it sending email, surfing the web, compiling programs (java,C,C++ etc), web page publishing and so on and boot into windows only if I want to use a program which does not run in linux (which is becoming rarer and rarer). This is not because I have anti-microsoft or anti-Bill Gates sentiments ( I really admire the guy if only for the wealth he has created, and his philanthropic turn of mind). But when I log into windows, the sheer amount of mouse clicks needed each time I want to accomplish a task is something I find really tedious. And the windows interface is not as configurable as the Linux desktop (Gnome , Kde etc).
